Но несмотря на этот факт, нынешний Suzuki Jimny до сих пор выглядит вполне современно. Крепко сбитый кузов, решетка радиатора с фирменной эмблемой, небольшие, но выразительные фарки, рейлинги, делающие автомобиль заметно выше. А задняя распахивающаяся дверь с висящей на ней «запаской», как известно, атрибут больших внедорожников.
Внутри первое, на что обращаешь внимание, на некоторую архаичность салона и крупный сенсорный экран мультимедийной системы, который оживляет интерьер. Благадоря огромному дисплею можно быстро настроить навигационную систему, установить связь по Bluetooth или переключить радиостанцию. Функционал достаточно прост и логически понятен. Но сам экран маркий и слегка бликует на солнце.
От настоящего внедорожника, не ждешь каких-то особых удобств, но, опускаясь в водительское кресло, нельзя сказать, что здесь полностью отсутствует комфорт. Да, в Jimny нет регулировки поясничного подпора и развитой боковой поддержки, зато это компенсируется подушкой оптимальной длины и удобными подголовниками. При росте 180 сантиметров принять удобную позу несложно, несмотря на тесноватый салон и нерегулируемую рулевую колонку.
Чем еще может похвастаться Suzuki Jimny? Конечно солидной площадью остекления и большими боковыми зеркалами с минимальным искажением изображения. А еще сидя в автомобиле, хорошо чувствуешь его габариты. Плюс все под рукой. Можно с легкостью достать из перчаточного ящика документы или дотянуться до сумки на заднем ряду, не отстегивая ремень безопасности. Жаль только, что не предусмотрено камеры заднего вида или парктроников: автомобиль высокий и не всегда можно увидеть то, что происходит в зеркале заднего вида.
Из «украшений», оживляющих интерьер Jimny можно выделить информативную приборную доску. Кнопки активации внедорожных режимов вынесены на центральную консоль. Для того, чтобы перейти в нужный необходимо удерживать клавишу несколько секунд.
Систему полного привода можно включить на скоростях до 100 км/час, а понижающую только на неподвижном автомобиле, переведя рычаг АКПП в нейтральное положение.
Задний ряд автомобиля здесь скорее «для галочки», нежели для перевозки пассажиров. Но, если в семье двое детей, то они действительно с могут с комфортом разместиться «на галерке».
А что багажник? Его объем составляет всего 113 литров. На практике это значит, что в нем уместятся два детских самоката или один небольшой чемодан или сумка. Хорошо, что трансформация заднего ряда позволяет увеличить его до 816 литров. Правда, образуется довольно высокая ступенька.
Suzuki Jimny c бензиновым атмосферным 85-сильным моторчиком объемом 1,3-литра далеко не спринтер, но и не пешеход. Впрочем, разгон 17 секунд до 100 километров в час может показаться кому-то вечностью. При этом четырехступенчатый «автомат» настроен хорошо, передачи переключаются плавно и без рывков. Немного расстроили тормоза. Чтобы эффективно замедляться, придется приспосабливаться, выдерживая приличную дистанцию до впередиидущего автомобиля.
На небольших скоростях Suzuki Jimny послушен, он отлично откликается на повороты руля. Но стоит поехать чуть быстрее, автомобиль начинает капризничать, проявляя недостаточную поворачиваемость, появляются крены. Плавность хода приемлема только на гладком асфальте. Как только под колесами появляется грунтовка, автомобиль становится жестким.
А вот на бездорожье Suzuki Jimny чувствует себя вполне комфортно. Автомобиль уверенно штурмует крутые подъемы и преодолевает небольшие броды. К тому же нижняя часть Suzuki Jimny защищена стальными листами, а воздухозаборник расположен в месте, закрытом от брызг. Для города и ближней дачи сойдет.
