С 1 апреля по 11 мая сотрудники ГИБДД выявили свыше 35,5 тыс. случаев управления автомобилем в состоянии опьянения по всей России. По сравнению с аналогичным периодом прошлого года этот показатель сократился всего на 3,4%, пишет “Российская газета”. Таким образом, введенный в стране из-за пандемии коронавируса режим самоизоляции почти не повлиял на количество нетрезвых водителей.

В ГИБДД также сообщили, что еще в 20 тыс. случаев водители отказались проходить медицинское освидетельствование на предмет опьянения. Этот показатель в сравнении с 2019 годом уменьшился на 3,1%.

В общей сложности с января по апрель было зарегистрировано свыше 4 тыс. ДТП с участием пьяных или отказавшихся от освидетельствования водителей. Жертвами этих аварий стали более 700 человек, а 5,7 тыс. человек получили ранения.

Напомним, в начале мая в ГУ МВД России по Москве сообщили, что с 1 апреля по 7 мая в Москве на 25,9% снизилось количество угонов транспортных средств, на 61,8% сократилось количество ДТП и на 62,9% упало число пострадавших в дорожно-транспортных происшествиях.

Ранее в Чувашии 11 человек попытались уговорить инспектора ГИБДД не штрафовать пьяного водителя, однако разговор окончился потасовкой и стрельбой, а в отношении двоих участников конфликта возбудили уголовное дело по ч. 1 ст. 318 УК РФ (“Применение насилия в отношении представителя власти”).

Летом прошлого года президент России Владимир Путин подписал закон об ужесточении уголовной ответственности за “пьяные” ДТП. Новая редакция ст. 264 Уголовного кодекса РФ гласит, что в случае причинения тяжкого вреда здоровью срок наказания для пьяного виновника ДТП составит от 3 до 7 лет лишения свободы, при гибели человека – от 5 до 12 лет, а в случае смерти двух или более лиц – от 8 до 15 лет лишения свободы. Во всех случаях также предусмотрено дополнительное наказание в виде лишения права занимать определенные должности или заниматься определенной деятельностью на срок до 3 лет.
